Peter M Howard ::

“How a faithful nation gets Jesus wrong”

09Oct2005 [myth]

Interesting article over at about Christian identity in the States. Bill McKibben asks how the west's arguably most Christian nation can be so ... well ... un-Christian. Lots of good stuff about the different flavours Christianity takes; especially about End Times fundamentalism and 'suburban', 'prosperity' Christianity.

One great quote: "How nice it would be if Jesus had declared that our income was ours to keep, instead of insisting that we had to share. How satisfying it would be if we were supposed to hate our enemies."
