Neal Stephenson on Star Wars; this is an article from a month ago in the NYTimes. Entertaining for any geeks, and in typical Stephenson style, manages to make Star Wars a parable for modern society and predict the disappearance of the USofA, without making the all-too-common mistake of linking Bush and Palpatine!
