In which a young man returns to protect the City he loves, and cannot escape his past
In the early 19th century, the City is in upheaval. The Revolution brought it to its knees, but itself fell to a new Empire. Raphaël is a young man from a rich family, with his life planned out for him: a promising future in medicine. Fleeing the cloying expectations of his family, and the changes being wrought on the City, Raphaël goes on mission, travelling the world.
In the early 21st century, Raphaël returns to the City, still a young man. Someone is trying to bring great changes to the City once more. And Raphaël is finding that he still can't escape his family's plans for him.
